***UPDATE: #TeamZavyr raised more than $3,000 in a single night! Wow! Help us keep the momentum & support those in need in Puerto Rico!***
Down, but not out...
On September 20th, Puerto Rico was ravaged by the worst natural disaster it has seen in 100 years, annihilating farms, destroying homes, flooding businesses, and cutting off people from any form of help. To this day, the majority of the island's 3 million+ residents do not have electricity, while tens of thousands still lack access to clean water, required medicine and medical care, communication, shelter, and even supplies we take for granted like diapers, baby food, and clothing. Despite the need, millions from around the world have come together to help our fellow Americans in need.
Ten year old Zavyr Gregory, of Butler, PA, was moved by the images he saw on TV and decided to do something about it. Unwilling to accept the fact that his youth - or distance from Puerto Rico - might impede his ability to help people in need, Zavyr quickly mobilized his family, his school, and now his entire community to come together to support relief efforts for a fundraiser to help those in need! If we could all be more like Zavyr . . . the world would be a better place.
If you are located in or around the Butler area of Pennsylvania, or would simply like to support Zavyr's efforts, please join us at the following event, or consider donating at one of the links above or below. All donations will be made in his name, will be matched by our generous sponsors, and will go directly to helping those with the greatest needs in Puerto Rico. Thank you for helping us make a difference!
